Dear all, Between Sunday 14th and Tuesday 16th April, 2013, six persons have been kidnapped in various parts of Lagos particularly Yaba, Surulere, Ejigbo and Lekki and huge amount of money demanded on each person and none has been released as of now. In view of this, the following security tips could be of assistance:
1. Be alert and aware of your environment.
2. Keep low profile...Do not give vital/personal information to persons unfamiliar to you.
3. Avoid late outings
4. Vary your route to work or leisure locations
5. Do not discuss financial matters in the open
6. Always pre – plan your journey and ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
7. Do not give ride to strangers.
8. Stick to main roads and avoid lonely routes.
9. Discourage children from talking to, or receiving gifts from strangers, it could be bait for kidnap.
10. Always let close family members know where you are going and when you would likely return.
